Los Campesinos! @ Electric Ballroom

Off to see one of my favourite bands tonight at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. I don't post much about music but i'll make an exception for Los Campesinos! (the exclamation mark is part of the name, not just general excitement). If, by some weird coincedence, anyone who's going to the gig is reading this then leave a comment. Otherwise just give these a listen. I picked one from each of their four albums to give an idea of how they've changed over the years. Fair to say they were pretty young and twee at the start, still great mind you. Newer stuff is more 'serious' in some ways but still has their great hooks and huge builds that take off. you might recognise the first one as that tune off the Budweiser advert from a while back.

Lego advert minimalism.

Took me a minute or two to see what was going on here, very cool once you get it though.

G-Cans Project

"The Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel (首都圏外郭放水路 shutoken gaikaku hōsuiro), also known as the G-Cans Project, is an underground water infrastructure project in Kasukabe, Saitama, Japan built for preventing overflow of the city's major waterways and rivers during rain and typhoon seasons."

This looks like abou the coolest place ever, just throw me down there with a ton of paint and some beers and i'll be happy for the rest of my life. It's open to the public too, bonus.
