FREE NORE

This was posted on the New York Prisoner blog last week. If you haven'tread the blog it's an excellent account of what life is like for a British guy who got mixed up in the wrong stuff and ended up in prison in New York. It's author - Timothy Guvercin seems like a smart, thoughtful dude and you could help reduce his prison sentence by vouching for his character in a letter to his judge. Don't take my word for it though, go read his blog. Here's the post:

On August 16th 2012
Timothy Ozer Guvercin (that would be me) plead guilty
to one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud
and one count of aggravated identity theft.

Under the Federal sentencing guidelines,
that leaves me with a 'recommended guideline range'
of 37-41 months plus a mandatory two years for the
aggravated identity theft charge.

I should be getting sentenced in the next 90 days or so,
and am now in the process of collecting character references.

I could be sentenced to anywhere between time served and
seven years so character references will play a BIG part in
whatever sentence i am given.

If you are a friend of mine, someone i have spent time with
or you have simply been following my story over the past two
years and found something positive or inspiring in my words,
please, it would mean the world to me if you took the time to
write a letter to the address below,

saying a little bit about yourself, what type of person you think i am
and why further incarceration for me is not necessary.

Each and every letter will make a difference,
and i want you to know your support and prayers
are more than appreciated!!

Timothy Ozer Guvercin

Battle Of Waterloo 2012

So I was lucky enough to get an invite to paint at this year's Battle of Waterloo. We got there unneccesarily early but the weather was burning hot and the whole event was pretty sick. Props to Chrome & Black for taking care of business (and the free paint, cheers guys!). I didn't get many flicks really as I forgot my camera and I finished early - so most of my afternoon was spent drinking beer and shooting the breeze. Hope to be back next year.

And if you're interested here's what I painted:

JJ DOOM - Key to the Kuffs

New album from DOOM and Jneiro Jarel is streaming in full over at The Guardian. Always worth checking DOOM's stuff, one of the most interesting voices in Hip-Hop. Pretty great interview over there too talking about his move to Blighty. Lucky us.
