When I was younger a good friend of mine who i'll call SMan introduced me to an artist called Jean-Michel Basquiat. He was a parallel to the pop art of Andy Warhol as far as Hollywood leads me to understand it. More important was the (apparently inaccurate) biopic of this guy's life directed by Julian Schnabel. While SMan played out the role of Basquiat, I played out the role of Benny Dalmau his most trusted friend. Things were easier back then. I still love Basquiat.
